About Event (In-person)
The Nigerian Center is hosting a public forum following President’s Biden 2024 State of the Union Address. The event will discuss and review aspects of the speech relevant to the African immigrant community and discuss African diaspora engagement in immigration policy and advocacy . The event will feature immigration policy experts, Diaspora organizations, immigration attorneys, and advocacy groups working on immigration reform and policy.
The objectives of this forum are as follows:
Discuss and review President’s Biden State of the Union Address relevant to the African immigrant community,
Discuss Diaspora engagement in immigration policy and U.S.-Africa partnership,
Amplify the ongoing efforts of advocacy groups focused on new immigration reforms and TPS/DED campaigns within African immigrant communities.
