Nigerian Center Welcomes Ambassador Samson Itegboje to Washington, DC

October 31, 2024 - Washington, DC The Nigerian Center met today with Ambassador Samson Itegboje, Nigeria’s newly appointed acting Ambassador to the U.S., to discuss continued collaboration between the Nigerian Embassy and the Center. This meeting builds on priorities outlined by Gbenga Ogunjimi, Executive Director of the Nigerian Center, in his op-ed “Strengthening Nigeria's Position – Five Expectations for the Incoming Ambassador to Washington” and underscores the Center’s dedication to supporting Nigerian nationals and the broader diaspora community in the United States.

Discussions highlighted new collaboration opportunities in areas, including diaspora outreach, social services, educational and cultural exchanges, and policy support.
