Work Authorization for International Students

About Event (Virtual)

Are you an international student seeking off-campus employment authorization due to economic hardship?

This Know Your Rights workshop is an important event for international students seeking clarity on work authorization and the practical steps to take to gain authorization. There are ongoing Special Student Relief (SSR) campaigns to designate several African countries, including Nigeria, Congo, Sudan, Mauritania, and others with this status. SSR allows international students more opportunities for employment on and off campus. While these campaigns are ongoing, international students might be able to apply for immigration benefits that include off-campus work authorization individually. Topics will include, understanding F-1 visa work regulations, and navigating work authorization extensions and renewals.
