Storytelling Night: Immigrants Celebrating Independence and Individuality

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library 901 G Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

About Event (In-person)

Independence permeates every step of the immigrant journey. It may have motivated the move or could be a result of it, but regardless, self-discovery is inextricably tied to the experience.

In this storytelling night, just days after Nigeria's Independence Day, six performers will share their stories about how they “found themselves” once again after moving to the U.S., whether that was through a new hobby, community, or accomplishment.

This event is in collaboration with our partners at KAMA DC. It takes place at the Anacostia Arts Center.

Doors open at 6:30 pm. Show starts at 7 pm. Excited to see you there!
