Important Information for Booking Your Legal Consultation
Please review the following information carefully before completing your intake form.
Individual Consultations Required - Each case requires a separate consultation. Schedule the appointment under the name of the individual needing legal assistance. If multiple family members require legal consultations, each person will need a separate appointment in their own name. Please note that each consultation covers only one case; additional cases will require new consultations.
Consultation Fees and Financial Assistance - Our consultation fee is $85. Limited financial assistance is available for those who qualify. A special grant allows us to waive the consultation fee for Washington, D.C., residents and non-D.C. residents referred by our community partners. For fee waiver details, please call our intake line at 202-330-0352. Proof of D.C. residency or other documentation may be required.
Consultation Duration and Punctuality - Once you complete your intake form and payment, an attorney or legal staff member will contact you to schedule your consultation. Consultations are time-limited, so please arrive or log in promptly. If we cannot fully assess your case within the scheduled time, an additional appointment may be required at a later date.
Rescheduling and Cancellation - You may reschedule up to 48 hours before your appointment. To cancel, please call us at 202-330-0352 or contact the attorney assigned to your case as early as possible. If canceled, the consultation fee will be refunded, minus a $15 administrative fee.
Required Documentation - Please bring all relevant documents to your consultation, including current immigration status, prior immigration history, any relevant criminal history, and other case-related materials. Incomplete documentation may prevent us from providing complete legal advice and may result in an additional $85 charge for a follow-up appointment.
