Understanding VAWA for Men, Women, and Parents

About Event: Virtual

Join us at the Nigerian Center for a "Know Your Rights" workshop focused on the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), tailored to inform men, women, and parents about the protections it offers against abuse in family situations. Regardless of gender or marital status, attendees will gain valuable knowledge on how VAWA can support and protect them.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Provide an overview of VAWA and the legal protections it offers to men, women, and parents.

  • Explain eligibility requirements, rights, and legal options available for survivors under VAWA.

  • Connect participants to resources and support systems to help them navigate abusive situations.

  • Empower yourself and your community by understanding your rights under VAWA.
